John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

i will not give in to the lies of the enemy and never let him steal the joy and peace that i have in me. i will always live a life of victory and live life to the fullest. God is good!

Wives..

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands..

1 peter 3:3-5

may i give more effort to the beauty that comes from within and always be pleasing in the sight of You and of my husband. and as you designed it, i submit to my husband who you assigned as the head of the family. bless our marriage, father. amen.

do not dwell on the past.

19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert

The storehouse principle

pastor dennis' testimony clearly explains this bible principle..his family was planning to buy a second car. they opened a bank account and define it as their storehouse for the car. every month they put aside 500 to 1000 pesos and deposit it to the account. they are praying to God and believing that he will open the floodgates of heaven and will bless the storehouse. after how many months, they have 12k in the bank and this is not enough to buy even a second hand vehicle. yes, it may seem impossible, but with God, everything is possible. weeks have passed..until one day, the lord have blessed the storehouse. someone offered them a car in exchange of their toyota vios. truly, his promises are true. now, though it is not a second car, but they were blessed with a new toyota fortuner. (wow!)

cesar and i would like to apply the storehouse principle into our lives. to start with, we are planning to make a storehouse for our home. we'll hold on to these promises:

The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. (Deuteronomy 28:12)

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. (Malachi 3:10)

last month, cesar saw a newly built townhouse that is for lease. together, we browse the internet to see the details. when i saw the photos and found out that the location is good (it is near the train station), it made me feel excited. of course the price is not good (ang sakit sa bangs! hehe). at that moment, i have prayed and believed. i am posting the photos here. this may not be exactly the house that God will bless us, but by looking at these, it will remind me that he is faithful to fulfil his promises. who knows, perhaps, someday, when he bless the storehouse, this home will be ours or better yet it is bigger than what we desire :-)

Loose lips shink ships

words are powerful. it can either bless or curse, make or break, nourish or dispirit. taming our tongue, especially women, takes a lot of self control. once words are spoken, unlike in emails or text messages, it can no longer be recalled nor canceled.

james' teaching is a good reminder why i need to choose the words that are coming out of my mouth. i admit that, some times, i struggle on this area particularly during difficult situations.

James 3:3-12

When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

may the words of my mouth bring life not strife, may i always speak blessing not curse, and may it give nourishment to a destitute soul.

Proverbs 31:30

charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the lord is to be praised.

how you see me is more important than what others say about me. let me be your woman and make me beautiful from inside out.

Philippians 4:6-7

from my devotional this morning..

"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. and the peace of God, which transcends all understading, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

such a wonderful promise - the peace of God.

Psalm 42:1

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.

you alone are my heart's desire and i long to worship thee..

"tatay, i am lonely. please hold me in your arms."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

indeed! my life verse while waiting patiently for my one true love.

love never fails :)

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

your plan is good, Lord. i will not worry.

Life verse

i thought of posting my life verses here. what is it? a verse or verses from the bible, promises of God that has been and or yet to be fulfilled (to which i am holding on to), His word that gives me or has given me encouragement, verses that has changed my life..

And the words of the Lord are flawless,
like silver refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.
-psalm 12:6
