Happiness

myla's sister and family will be migrating to the US and so they bargain all the home appliances, furniture and other stuff even their two cars (a bmw and a merc) for 30,000 aud each. that is a good deal! well, neither of the cars is my new toy by the way (hehe). cesar sent me the price list and wooooo the markdown is more than 50% on almost everything and mind you they are of good quality. since it is a once-in-a-lifetime-super-sale-opportunity, and we are newlyweds who's starting up a home, my husband bought everything (haha! just kidding!), i mean some (necessary) kitchen appliances and fittings. and yey!! we already have a fridge, microwave oven, griller, heater, nice carpet, two foot rest :), magazine rack, computer desk, and ahmmmm..what else dy? did i miss anything? and of course my happiness :) i will call her dana (so i will always remember jen and her sweet-like-cupcakes friendship).

(not the actual photo) this is dana, my first snow-whitey mixer :)

plus!! a set of clear pyrex mixing bowl

oh i love it! really..cesar is the sweetest. superman knows how to make his lois lane feel loved and delighted.

i don't know but..just recently, baking makes me feel good and i feel that i am good at it :) i get more and more interested on this new leisure pursuit. and for me it is more than that, it is a new discovery of myself..it also put in new initiatives like 1. aside from cooking, i'll bake for hubby to make his every weekend extra special, 2. for special events, i'll share my colorful artistically made cupcakes, and 3. a business venture. yeah, a business venture; well, it will probably be a bakeshop or a coffee shop (oh wow!! i am dreaming!! haha!). but who knows?! every business success stories always begin with a desire. as joel osteen said "you cannot give birth to something you have not first conceived."

next weekend is the start of pursuing this liking. jen and i will have a baking 101 at their home. just last week, she took a day off to attend a cupcake frosting class. to have an idea, here's a photo of the finished products.

i'm excited!! and i am looking forward to my bonding with dana. it will be my pleasure to bring big sweet smiles on cesar's face and to everyone who will taste lala and dana's homemade baked-with-love cakes :)

Let go and let God

i suddenly remember my multiply account and visited it. look what i have written 2 years ago..

when god writes your love story

in august 2008, i have made a decision that has a significant influence in my life now, that is to give god the pen and let him write my love story. and the rest was HIStory.

I was so aware of the fact that it was God who was leading each step, guiding each conversation, painting each sunset, and standing over us with a smile. The cheap, imitation romance I'd known before simply could not be compared to this new kind of love I had discovered. I was daily amazed that I had come from a place of heartbreak, confusion, and compromise in relationships, to a dream come true. I had discovered a kind of divine love that can't even be found in the fairy tales, simply by giving God the pen of my life's story and allowing Him to write each chapter. He was interested in this part of my life. He did have a plan! And He has one for you, too.

God did it to eric and leslie. He did it to me and cesar.
And He has one for you, too.

it all begins with a decision.
let go..and let God.

in a while in a word
every moment now returns
for a while seen or heard
how each memory softly burns
facing you who brings me new tomorrows
i thank God for yesterdays
how they led me to this very hour
how they led me to this place.

every touch every smile
you have given me in care
keep in heart always i'll
now be treasuring everywhere
and if life should cime to just one question
do i hold this moment true
no trace of sadness always with gladness
i do.

now a song that speaks of now and ever
beckons me to someone new
unexpected unexplored unseen
filled with promise coming through.

in a while in a word
you and i forever change
love so clear never blurred
has me feeling wondrous strange
and if life should come to just one question
do i face each moment true
no trace of sadness always with gladness
i do.

never with sadness
always with gladness
I DO.

Day five

a picture of your morning

grabbed from the internet

due to excitement, i haven't gotten a chance to take a photo of my morning with papa. yesterday, our television broken-down. it saddened me when i saw the look on mama's face..while chatting with hubby, i called up mama to tell her the good news. mama and papa were super happy with cesar's gift (early father's day gift daw) it's a 26" lcd tv :)

my morning was overflowing with joy. the sparkle on papa's eyes couldn't hide his enjoyment, and in the past that same sparkle was on mine, when everytime papa take us along with him at duty free :)

salamat dy! we love you.

Yellow

by coldplay.

song facts: Lead singer Chris Martin has said that the lyrics are about being devoted to someone, wanting to do anything for them - writing a song for them, swimming across the sea for them and so on. (Adam - Sussex, England).

"Yellow" is a term that can mean cowardly or afraid. From this standpoint, the singer could be afraid and nervous to show his love, until he "ran across" and "jumped across" for her. He finally got the nerve to express his love. (Stefan - Winona, MN) -- the exact description of cesar's feelings over a year ago. woot woot!!

love love love!

Day four

a picture of where you went today (june 14)

my hiding place

i was supposed to see a cardiologist this morning to do a repeat of the ecg (as per advise of the clinic doctor in our office when he do the interpretation of my annual medical exam). but instead of going to st lukes hospital, i went to a nearby park for a heart check-up. i really appreciate it's serenity. the last time i was here was 5 years ago. and today, i spent my one hour break here to just sit and have my quiet time with tatay.

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

psalm 139:23-24

i died..and today, by god's grace, i will live anew. goodbye to my old selfish logical thinking. i am grateful to have a father who loves a stubborn daughter like me.

iloveyoutatay.

Day three

a picture of what you did today (june 13)

before heading to montalban to visit my extended family, i bought a dozen of assorted doughnuts as pasalubong for mama lina, mama amy, nanay, zel, kiko, maricel and eya eya :)

isang maligayang pagdiriwang ng ating kalayaan. itaas natin ang ating bandila.

Day Two

a picture of what you wore today

ahmm..yeah, i wore my pair of eyeglasses today. i am not used to wearing this as i am not comfortable with it while working. never mind my pink (na kupas) pambahay with ruffles. oh, it's lace by the way. haha! i'm not sure what to call it. but i am at ease wearing this, only this (haha! joke!), at home :)

Break time

Psalm 42:1

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.

you alone are my heart's desire and i long to worship thee..

"tatay, i am lonely. please hold me in your arms."

FIFA 2010

as early as 9pm (3pm SA time), almost all of my counterparts were already offline. perhaps (or most probably) it's because of the world cup 2010. first game starts at 4pm and the match was between south africa and mexico (kaya pala nag-uwian na hehe).

(photo grabbed from the internet) showing my support to the country that i would say naging malapit na sa puso ko.

and look what i've got!
the mcdonald's fifa world cup SA glass! when you buy a happy meal, you just need to add 25 pesos to own this. i already have two purple glasses :)

go South Africa!! win or lose, you have my support.

Day One

a picture of yourself

this is me, pretending to be working. i took this earlier while looking at the reports presented via net meeting and listening to a teleconference over speaker phone. this is what you call multitasking on an early friday workday.

Unlimited resources

(photo taken in april 2008, fully booked - boni high street)

live life to the fullest! plug in to the One and the Real source :)

Noy-Bi

this photo i have taken after i voted last may 10. it was historical for me, because it was my first time to vote (at last!), and for pinoys, as it was the first automated election in the country.

yesterday was the proclamation of the philippine's new president (senator benigno "noynoy" aquino iii) and vice president (makati city mayor jejomar binay). though i did not vote for them, as i love God and my country, i will submit to the authorities, respect and support the new administration.

God bless the Philippines.

Kilig moment

Ngayon lng ko naging masaya ng ganito my.. mulang ng maging asawa kita at nagpromise kay God na I will love you with all my heart and you'll have my loyalty forever and ever and ever.. =)

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

indeed! my life verse while waiting patiently for my one true love.

love never fails :)

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

your plan is good, Lord. i will not worry.

Life verse

i thought of posting my life verses here. what is it? a verse or verses from the bible, promises of God that has been and or yet to be fulfilled (to which i am holding on to), His word that gives me or has given me encouragement, verses that has changed my life..

And the words of the Lord are flawless,
like silver refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.

Past is past

one of the blogs that i follow is carla's (rica peralejo). for one reason that is i admire her wisdom. i would like to repost this one..

Q: Are you friends with your ex's like Bernard Palanca and Piolo Pascual?
A: They're not my close friends, but they're also not my enemies. I personally don't think it's necessary to be friends with them, especially with everything that I have to do in one day, and the fact that I've got Joe and he's already more then enough, possessing everything that I would possibly need from a man.

Truth is, I think that insisting on maintaining friendship or communication between two people after their failed romance is immature and foolish. One doesn't really need it.

Bumping into each other though and being kind to acknowledge each other's presence, and maybe even small chats if needed, are ok. But to linger is a different story; what would you talk about each other, your past? Why it didn't work out? That's silly.

i love the answer. very true :)

Love and Respect

a book by Dr Emerson Eggrichs. before cesar and i get married, we had a counseling session with tatay tito. he encouraged us to read the love and respect book which we bought right after the session (thank you fully booked!).

here's the simple message of the book:

a wife has one driving need -- to feel loved. when that need is met, she is happy.
a husband has one driving need -- to feel respected. when that need is met, he is happy.

it's like, when a wife respects her husband (which he desperately needs), in return, the husband loves his wife (which she most desires). and vice versa.

i am a freshman of this course. a lot of things yet to be learned and discovered. there will always be a room for mistakes. i am thankful that God is the center of this relationship. no matter what, my love for cesar will never be less. i am always in love and more in love with my husband. it deepens everyday.

as i love him with all my heart, i also give him the respect that he needs.

dy, forgive me if at times you feel that i do not. please bear with me. i am getting there. we will get there. i sincerely thank you for loving me, mostly at times that i am not lovable. you are such a wonderful blessing to me. i love you.

"wedding is just one day. marriage is lifetime."

thank you, pastor tito! until our renewal of vows. kayo po uli magkakasal sa amin :)

Wonders of the World

WOW! (eyes wide open) this is astonishing..

Phenomenal wonders of the Natural world. email i received from a colleague. there are 14 illustrations, but here are my top five picks.

sailing stones

The mysterious moving stones of the packed-mud desert of Death Valley have been a center of scientific controversy for decades.

Rocks weighing up to hundreds of pounds have been known to move up to hundreds of yards at a time.

Some scientists have proposed that a combination of strong winds and surface ice account for these movements.

However, this theory does not explain evidence of different rocks starting side by side and moving at different rates and in disparate directions.

Moreover, the physics calculations do not fully support this theory as wind speeds of hundreds of miles per hour would be needed to move some of the stones.

columnar basalt

When a thick lava flow cools, it contracts vertically but cracks perpendicular to its directional flow with remarkable geometric regularity- in most cases forming a regular grid of remarkable hexagonal extrusions that almost appear to be made by man.

One of the most famous such examples is the Giant's Causeway on the coast of Ireland (shown above), though the largest and most widely recognized would be Devil's Tower in Wyoming.

Basalt also forms different but equally fascinating ways when eruptions are exposed to air or water.

blue holes

Blue holes are giant and sudden drops in underwater elevation that get their name from the dark and foreboding blue tone they exhibit when viewed from above in relationship to surrounding waters.

They can be hundreds of feet deep and while divers are able to explore some of them they are largely devoid of oxygen that would support sea life due to poor water circulation - leaving them eerily empty.

Some blue holes, however, contain ancient fossil remains that have been discovered, preserved in their depths.

lenticular clouds

Ever wonder the truth about UFOs?

Avoided by traditional pilots but loved by sailplane aviators, lenticular clouds are masses of cloud with strong internal uplift that can drive a motorless flyer to high elevations.

Their shape is quite often mistaken for a mysterious flying object or the artificial cover for one.

Generally, lenticular clouds are formed as wind speeds up while moving around a large land object such as a mountain.

light pillars

Light pillars appear as eerily upright luminous columns in the sky, beacons cast into the air above without an apparent source..

These are visible when light reflects just right off of ice crystals from either the sun (as in the two top images above) or from artificial ground sources such as street or park lights.

Despite their appearance as near-solid columns of light, the effect is entirely created by our own relative viewpoint.

you are amazing, God.

none can fathom..
