in a while in a word
every moment now returns
for a while seen or heard
how each memory softly burns
facing you who brings me new tomorrows
i thank God for yesterdays
how they led me to this very hour
how they led me to this place.
every touch every smile
you have given me in care
keep in heart always i'll
now be treasuring everywhere
and if life should cime to just one question
do i hold this moment true
no trace of sadness always with gladness
i do.
now a song that speaks of now and ever
beckons me to someone new
unexpected unexplored unseen
filled with promise coming through.
in a while in a word
you and i forever change
love so clear never blurred
has me feeling wondrous strange
and if life should come to just one question
do i face each moment true
no trace of sadness always with gladness
i do.
never with sadness
always with gladness
I DO.

I am home
(from tumblr, april 4)
yesterday was my sabbath day. one pleasure of sabbath day is movie time! after 10 years, it was only yesterday that i took time to watch avatar. on a personal note, the story is just like the other ordinary sci-fi films. of course there is a BUT..it was excellently done!
the ending of the story caught me. how could jake exchanged his human identity to become a true na’vi? is it because in the land of pandora, his ambition to walk again became a reality? how could someone adapt a living in a strange land? i just could not imagine. that was a total surrender of the comfort zone!
ala’s blog has introduced me to a different meaning of home.
Home used to be a place. Now, home is person.
i get it. what a quick answer! jake fell in love with neytiri. the beauty of pandora is just secondary. he has found his new home. same with mine. sydney is one lovely city. i have personally experienced its magnificence. anyone can fall in love with it’s unique beauty and living here is one’s realization of a dream. but to enjoy it alone, it’s a different story. like jake, i have found my new home, who happens to be in sydney. i fell in love with cesar. now, home is person. cesar is my home.
though it means living in a foreign country, wherever cesar is, i am home.
“dy, i see you.”

The blind side
oh how i love saturdays! it's what i call my sabbath day. and for today, i have watched over filmhill the movie "the blind side". such an inspiring story. teary eyed ako while wacthing it. i asked myself, "when was the last time that i became a christian to somebody?"
i am grateful to God for giving me cesar, my family and friends to protect my blind side. and thank you Tatay for you are my ultimate defender!
here are some of the lines from the movie that i liked:
Beth: You're changing that boys life.
Leigh Anne Touhy: No, he's changing mine.
Leigh Anne Touhy: No, he's changing mine.
Leigh Anne Touhy: Now, y'all would guess that more often than not, the highest paid player on an NFL team is the quarterback. And you'd be right. What you probably don't know is that more often than not, the second highest paid player is, thanks to Lawrence Taylor, a left tackle. Because, as every housewife knows, the first check you write is for the mortgage, and the second is for the insurance. The left tackle's job is to protect the quarterback from what he can't see coming. To protect his blind side.
very good job sandra! you deserve the best actress award.
'til next saturday!

Fireproof

kuya glenn highly recommended this movie. "dapat fireproof pinapanood nyo hindi ung you changed my life." hehe..but it's true!
whoa! buti na lang the church had a filmshowing of fireproof back in may. i cried :-) here's the synopsis:
Lt. Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighter's adage: Never leave your partner behind. Inside burning buildings, it's his natural instinct. In the cooling embers of his marriage, it's another story.
After a decade of marriage, Caleb and Catherine Holt have drifted so far apart that they are ready to move on without each other. Yet as they prepare to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's dad asks his son to try an experiment: The Love Dare.
While hoping The Love Dare has nothing to do with his parents' newfound faith, Caleb commits to the challenge. But can he attempt to love his wife while avoiding God's love for him? Will he be able to demonstrate love over and over again to a person that's no longer receptive to his love? Or is this just another marriage destined to go up in smoke?
surprisingly, this was the same movie that they have watched during their bs, i think two weeks after i saw it. and we excitedly exchanged stories and shared what scene(s) we liked the most. actually marami but i love this father-son part:
John Holt: Has she thanked you for anything you've done the last 20 days?
Caleb Holt: No! And you'd think after I washed the car, I've changed the oil, do the dishes, cleaned the house, that she would try to show me a little bit of gratitude. But she doesn't! In fact, when I come home, she makes me like I'm - like I'm an enemy! I'm not even welcome in my own home, Dad. That is what really ticks me off! Dad, for the last three weeks, I have bent over backwards for her. I have tried to demonstrate that I still care about this relationship. I bought her flowers, which she threw away. I have taken her insults and her sarcasm, but last night was it. I made dinner for her. I did everything I could to demonstrate that I care about her, to show value for her, and she spat in my face! She does not deserve this, Dad. I'm not doing it anymore! How am I supposed to show love to somebody over and over and over who constantly rejects me?
John Holt: [touches, then leans against cross] That's a good question.
we promise that we will again see this movie together.
never leave your partner behind..

Fate

"If we never see each other again... And you're out walking one day and you feel a certain presence beside you... that will be me, loving you, wherever I am."
"We have to stay alive, because we have to see how the story ends."
"Destiny is the bridge you build to the one you love."
"Your time with her will be the happiest you've been in your life. Enjoy every second of it."
"As you and I got to know each other, I felt the cloud begin to lift a little bit."
"I hope that I've healed during our year apart, and that I'm sitting with you while you read this. But if I'm not, it's not because I don't love you... Because I do. And it's not because I don't miss you, because I miss you already. It'll just mean that I'm not better. And the story isn't over yet."
"I wish you a story with a happy ending... and the wisdom to look for it."
"Whether we're together or apart, you will always be the woman of my life."
"I told you I'd meet a man from the future."
