Kitchen and Recipe Party

april 24, 2010 (saturday)

7:00am - too early to start the day. i usually wake up at 9 or 10am. not for today. i started packing up my things for our long awaited overnight getaway in tagaytay.

8:15am - received a call from cesar. just checking if im still home.

8:20am - took a bath.

9:00am - ready to go! waiting for jenny to pick me up. but she texted me. after 40 minutes pa raw nya ko masundo, pa-check nya muna ung sasakyan.

i fell asleep while waiting.

around 9:50am - i woke up with jenny's call. yay! she's already outside our house. i quickly combed my hair, grabbed my things, kissed mama and said goodbye.

yey! we're off to tagaytay. we'll meet cathy and manj in alabang. though cathy suggested to wear dress for our city escape, still i decided to wear my comfortable sleeveless and shorts and slippers. and no makeup :-) but before heading to alabang, jenny asked me to accompany her again to manila bulletin office in ortigas to advertise for drivers. naiihi na raw sya so we went first to figaro to pee.

but wait! hindi sa ladies room pumunta si jen. i followed her and taadaaaaa!! SURPRISE!!!

designed by tita tonee (and the invites). kitchen and recipe ang theme kasi the past weeks, kinukulit ko si jen sa recipes nya because i wanted to learn more sa cooking in preparation of being a good wifey :-)

along with myla and leigh, cesar saw this set on sale in a store that is near their office. pwede :-)

i bring my imagination to our future living room. shade of green, cozy, lamps, books, relaxing mood and ahmm, something that looks like this --

Expo

(late post)

march 13, around 4pm, i met jen at starbucks harbour square (which is inside ccp complex). it's our favorite meeting spot. while waiting, had a sip of one of my fave fraps. one tall coffee jelly for pam! after 10 minutes, jen came in and had her all time fave cappuccino. we catch up and had a fast forward talk over a cup of coffee. ang daming nangyari since the last time we talked particularly to their family business. can't believe that it's really happening at sa kabibe pa! ang taas pa naman ng respeto ko sa mga nasa posisyon. sobrang corrupt! what they did is clearly against kabibe's global business principles. it was so unfair!! well, not everybody naman, to be fair.

afterwards, we went to the real agenda for this day, the wedding expo. first things first. we looked for the wedding ring at matus that cesar and i saw in the internet. they don't have the actual ring in the expo but the lady showed us another ring which is like the size (width and thickness) of the eternity ring. i fit it and feel it in my finger together with my engagement ring. yay!! the size is just right pero, masyadong makapal yung ring for me. still we get the quotation in case we can't look for replacement. sayang ang discount and other freebies. we looked around and stop at every store to find for the perfect ring. finally..i called up cesar and described him the ring that i liked and asked which ring he would prefer. we went back to the jewelery store and decided to reserve the second best ring that cesar liked. exciting!! i imagine myself wearing our wedding bond and i am more excited to be one with my man. thanked God for the 30% discount! that was such a great offer! last saturday, april 10, again jen accompanied me, had the first fitting of the ring.

mission accomplished! since nandun na rin kami sa expo, naglibot-libot muna to see what's the latest trend on weddings. then i noticed, si jen ang binibigyan ng leaflets. nagsalamin na nga ako para hindi magmukang bata. anyhow, all in all, i enjoyed it! can't believe i was actually there and preparing for my own wedding. na-miss ko lalo si cesar. i was surrounded by couples soon to wed. di bale, i will too be reunited with my puging pugi na asawa to be.

 

tested one of the wedding photo booths. i do appreciate jen's genuine friendship. maraming salamat deanna!

the maker of rica's wedding videography. cheapest fee is 70k. big WOW! 70k for a 20 minute video.

before heading home, we dine in at teriyaki boy and while waiting for the food to serve, jen helped me sorting out the leaflets. good thing she brought a clearbook, we quickly organize and put them inside it.

I vote for

there's this mini survey at every 7-11 stores of who's the president each customer will vote. how? each presidential candidate has a corresponding gulp cup with their image on it. every cup that a customer will buy will be added to the count of the chosen president. as for the store where i bought my cup of pineapple juice, the latest standing is:

1st: noynoy
2nd: gordon (yipee!)
3rd: gibo
4th: villar

one vote for gordon! every gulp counts.

Unexpected gift

from cesar's former colleague at sodexo who already went back to her home in china. she's now in syd and visited today their office and gave cesar the present..

it's a set of teapot! i heart it. i always wish to have one. and it was granted. super happy :-) her mom carefully wrapped and put this inside her baggage so it won't be broken. so sweet. i am touched.

thank you charlene for the wonderful wedding gift!

Growth and worth

ron message me on im asking what time i will go home as he needs to see me. before i replied, i refreshed my memory if i did something wrong with my job that has brought his attention. after few minutes, he went to my workstation and handed me a small brown envelope and said "congratulations". inside the envelope are the certificate of long service award (5 years at shell) and the gift cert from chronos worth 5k. i am thankful.

but i am no longer happy. i am speaking of career growth and money worth. the growth has stopped, i can no longer see opportunities for me in the center. this is in connection with my anticipated resignation. i know it and i can loudly feel it. if only cesar would agree that i will look for opportunities outside, nag-resign na ako. he advised me to stay and keeps on saying "konting tiis na lang my." cesar's charisma is so persuasive and i completely respect his advise. i agree on some good points why i should stay in this company instead.

the pay for this month somehow dissapoint me. it is not how much i worth and i wonder what is my value to other companies.

i will wait for my time. my five years of service and experience will put me to the next level in terms of growth and worth. i believe. losing heart and vision, this i am taking out from my vocabulary.

will continue to dream BIG.

MY Superman!

last sunday cesar texted me. he was at kings comics store and was asking for my approval if he would buy the superman statue worth 150 aud. he took a picture of it and send the photo to my yahoo email with subject "My 150 aud? worth it?:)"

with the smiley on the subject, i knew that he super like it and he's only waiting if i would be happy as well with his decision to own and take home the statue. of course, i said yes! go! i am also a collector, i can put my feet in his shoes.

i am satisfied with my one and only superman, my ceSar.
worth -- priceless.

email i received from joni today. she is one woman that i look up to. i admire her wisdom and faith as well as i respect her advices. i missed joni and our bible study in the office. she is one of the few whom i share my heart with. she knows everything about my love stories! well, almost.
