Break time!

Some of the not so serious conversations at the office :-)

John: Pam, what is the name of your husband again?
Me: Cesar.
John: Cesar, as in Julius Caesar?
Me: Yup!
John: Oh, that is why he marry a princess.

John: What are your plans for the weekend? Are you going to cook something special for your husband?
Me: We are going to celebrate.
John: What is the celebration for?
Me: My husband passed his CPA exam.
John: Oh!! Give me a big kiss to your husband for me. And congratulations.
Me: I will. Thank you, John!

Not a single day that (tatay) John doesn't forget to ask how i am doing and on fridays, our (i and hubby) plans for the weekend. He also always invite us to join them watch footy. Actually, most of the people in the office do greet each other and love to have a small talk. I just love that kind of culture that is within our office. I do not feel like a stranger.

Eddie: How do you pronounce your last name, Pam?
Me: Carino. Actually, it's Cariño. We have that alphabet in the Phillipines. We seldom use it here because other people is having a hard time saying it. (kailangan super explain?? Wehehe)
Eddie: Ah! It's Cariño. Do you know the meaning of that (Cariñoso) in Spanish?
Me: What?
Eddie: Affection.

Naks!

Me: Uno dos tres kwatro singko syete otso nwebe dyes
Eddie: Continue. Let me see how far you can go.
Me: (pasikat) Onse dose trese katorse...blah blah blah
Eddie: (amazed) Good job!

Naman!! As if I can really speak spanish.

While in the meeting room discussing the month end activities and Eddie is counting the invoices.

Eddie: I know Pam, this is boring.

Nyahaha!!

Eddie: By the way, Jenny is my girlfriend. Your husband's name is?
Me: Cesar
Eddie: Karen's is Charles.
Me: How about Darren's?
Eddie: Troy.
Me: I mean his girlfriend's name.
Eddie: Yeah, it's Troy. That is his partner's name. Oh my God, you don't know.

Ayayay!!

Eddie is my cool manager and he is Mexican.

Nick: Pam can you help me?
Me: Yeah sure.
Nick: How do you spell toner?
Me: (writing on paper) toner.

Nick: Pam, how do you spell queries?
Pam: q-u-e-r-i-e-s

Buti na lang best in spelling ako nung grade school ;-)

Pam: We have a friend who is going to undergo chemotheraphy and we are raising funds by selling raffle tickets.
Nick: What is chemotheraphy?
Pam: Ahmmm...she is going to have her treatment.

Whew!! Hirap mag-explain. Nose bleed eto!

Nick is my teammate and seatmate and he is from China.

Christina: (saying something in English)
Someone from AR team: Please translate in English.

If you are watching Modern Family then you know the character of Gloria. Christina's accent is the same with Gloria's. Can you imagine now the scenario in our office? :-D

I have found my place. My every day in the office will not end without having a good laugh. This is what I have prayed for and it was given. Thank you, 'Tay!
