The book

"pam, what's the name of the book again? where can i buy it?" -lala, trainer

"hey pam, i bought the book already. dumaan ako ng national booksotore yesterday night, right after the training." -cheryl, co-trainee

hmmm...i never thought that it would influence my audience. almost everyone in the room is asking and is interested to get a copy of it.

since yesterday, i am attending a 3-day training which i thought is going to be boring and tiring. we have an activity wherein we will choose one topic and we will simply give information about it. but we need to apply the learning that we acquired while discussing the matter infront. some of the choices are: country, weekend, book, person, etc. right away, i picked book as my subject.

next, pam..my turn!

this is about a book and the impact of which in my personal life.

if you are looking for a book on romantic relationships, i highly recommend blah blah blah written by blah blah blah. the main focus of the book is to give god the pen and let him script your love story. you will discover that the creator of the heaven and the earth is not only concerned in your spiritual life, family life, your career, your needs, but he is also so concerned in this area of your life, your love life. remember that he himself is the author of love.

i read this four years ago and i was broken hearted then. the week before i joined this company, my boyfriend that time broke up with me..one day, i dropped by in a bookstore (my favorite place!) and found this book. the title appeals to be interesting so i bought it.

god used this book as a tool to help me forgive the past, forgive the person and forgive myself. everyday is a challenge though. little by little, and only by his grace, i regained selfworth and has moved on. and it all started with a decision - giving the pen and entrusting the rest of the story to him. i also decided to go back to my first love, hold on to it, and make him as my priority.

there's a story in the book about a queen named penelope. she is weaving a white linen while she is waiting for her king to come back home from the battle. as well, like penelope, while patiently waiting for the right time, i did what i love doing. i travel here and abroad.. i enjoy singlehood.. i appreciate more my family. they are my inspiration.. i excel in the workfield. then he blessed the work of my hands, i get promotion and promotion and promotion. (i called this stage as "the weaving of white linen days").

after reading the book, i made a promise to start bringing him good, not harm, all the days of my life (proverbs 31:12). from that day on, though i have yet met him, i started to be faithful to him, loving him and praying for him.

until, god set up our meeting. he did not give me a perfect guy, but he prepared and sent me the best man. well, this is another story. just to share a bit, one of the many reasons of my going to the land down under is to celebrate together his one year anniversary in sydney. it was overwhelming how god arranged every thing for this meeting. indeed, one touch from him can change the situation.

and this story is the story i would love to retell to my children and grandchildren and their children's children.."anak, this is how god have written your lolo and lola's love story."

so, i pray that upon reading this book, you will experience as well the love of god. if he did it to me so he can do it to you too! enjoy single life while waiting for the day when you hear him say, "here is the one i have created just for you."

and that ends my dialogue.
