Hands

It paid off! Hubby passed his second CPA subject
with a grade of "C".
I am so proud of you, Dy! I know that career
development is one of the various reasons that you
are giving your best and sacrifices for this endeavour.
May God bless the work of your hands.

It was my first time to put color on my little fingernails.
Bagay ba? hihi
Oh how I love holding your hand..

Break time!

Some of the not so serious conversations at the office :-)

John: Pam, what is the name of your husband again?
Me: Cesar.
John: Cesar, as in Julius Caesar?
Me: Yup!
John: Oh, that is why he marry a princess.

John: What are your plans for the weekend? Are you going to cook something special for your husband?
Me: We are going to celebrate.
John: What is the celebration for?
Me: My husband passed his CPA exam.
John: Oh!! Give me a big kiss to your husband for me. And congratulations.
Me: I will. Thank you, John!

Not a single day that (tatay) John doesn't forget to ask how i am doing and on fridays, our (i and hubby) plans for the weekend. He also always invite us to join them watch footy. Actually, most of the people in the office do greet each other and love to have a small talk. I just love that kind of culture that is within our office. I do not feel like a stranger.

Eddie: How do you pronounce your last name, Pam?
Me: Carino. Actually, it's Cariño. We have that alphabet in the Phillipines. We seldom use it here because other people is having a hard time saying it. (kailangan super explain?? Wehehe)
Eddie: Ah! It's Cariño. Do you know the meaning of that (Cariñoso) in Spanish?
Me: What?
Eddie: Affection.

Naks!

Me: Uno dos tres kwatro singko syete otso nwebe dyes
Eddie: Continue. Let me see how far you can go.
Me: (pasikat) Onse dose trese katorse...blah blah blah
Eddie: (amazed) Good job!

Naman!! As if I can really speak spanish.

While in the meeting room discussing the month end activities and Eddie is counting the invoices.

Me: (naghikab ng bonggang bongga)
Eddie: I know Pam, this is boring.

Nyahaha!!

Eddie: By the way, Jenny is my girlfriend. Your husband's name is?
Me: Cesar
Eddie: Karen's is Charles.
Me: How about Darren's?
Eddie: Troy.
Me: I mean his girlfriend's name.
Eddie: Yeah, it's Troy. That is his partner's name. Oh my God, you don't know.

Ayayay!!

Eddie is my cool manager and he is Mexican.

Nick: Pam can you help me?
Me: Yeah sure.
Nick: How do you spell toner?
Me: (writing on paper) toner.

Nick: Pam, how do you spell queries?
Pam: q-u-e-r-i-e-s

Buti na lang best in spelling ako nung grade school ;-)

Pam: We have a friend who is going to undergo chemotheraphy and we are raising funds by selling raffle tickets.
Nick: What is chemotheraphy?
Pam: Ahmmm...she is going to have her treatment.

Whew!! Hirap mag-explain. Nose bleed eto!

Nick is my teammate and seatmate and he is from China.

Christina: (saying something in English)
Someone from AR team: Please translate in English.

If you are watching Modern Family then you know the character of Gloria. Christina's accent is the same with Gloria's. Can you imagine now the scenario in our office? :-D

I have found my place. My every day in the office will not end without having a good laugh. This is what I have prayed for and it was given. Thank you, 'Tay!

Miyerkules: Grilled or Fried??

I've waited for Cesar to come home to help me operate the oven. Our dinner is supposed to be grilled chicken but the oven was not so cooperative, then we both gave up, and so TADAA!!! it turned into fried chicken (hihi).

Makuha ka sa sauce! :)

Fantastic four!

I always read Jenn Punzalan's blog. I really admire the way they bring up their kids. By reading her blog, I am learning few tips on parenting and I am inspired to be a good, responsible and godly parent.

When I watched this video, parang gusto ko rin ng four kids.. Dy, what do you think?? :))

Martes: Sinigang na hipon

One of my favorites!

Healthy living. Ahem..yoghurt for brekky :)

Happy 1.4 and Happy 10!!

Let's celebrate love at Nando's
What do Nando's chicken have that others don't??
It's the sauce! The hot sauce!

Cesar's song: When Did You Fall by Chris Rice
"Have you been waiting long? When did you fall in love with me?"

Kailan nga ba?? Ang alam ko lang mahal kita mula noon hanggang habambuhay. Hindi nagbago ang pag-ibig ko at hindi magbabago. At mas minamahal kita habang lumilipas ang panahon..

I love you Dy.

Our friendly neighbour

This cat used to passed by our backyard
every morning. I called him/her miming :)

Home Sweet Home

For two days, we have finished unpacking all our stuff. We were actually surprised that we did it for only two days (except the backyard). Among the houses that we've inspected, this was our first choice :-) We are so thankful that our application was approved. Though some of the furnitures were damaged, all in all, the move was less stressful than what we have expected.

My kitchen rules! :) Green it is! My fave :)
The hardworking husband :) Good job dy!

Araw ng mga puso..

I got him something that's very close to his heart.
I bought this from a side-walk store in Parramatta. Good thing
they have a Superman figure that week.
Papahuli ba naman si Mister??! Syempre hindi!!

Thank you, Dy for the lovely flowers.
You're the Man!! Mahal na mahal kita!

We were supposed to have dinner date at the revolving restaurant but since we were not able to do the reservation, we decided to celebrate valentine's in a practical yet romantic way. After work, Cesar and I met up at Circular Quay. We had different kinds of sushi for dinner and cheesecake for dessert while sitting on the benches along the Opera House fronting the Harbour bridge. We took the ferry going home and since mahangin at malamig, hubby put his arms around me. I always like the part whenever we passed by under the Harbour Bridge. Kay gandang pagmasdan habang katabi ko ang lalaki na pinakamamahal ko. Awwww!! Ang sarap maging corny sa pag-ibig :-)
Thank you Lord for Cesar, my superhero, my love, my valentine.

Thank you heaps, OneSteel!

I have worked for OneSteel for only two months but I have met few wonderful and nice people even for a very short period of time. I can say that I've got a very good Accounts Payable training and background at Shell and I really am very thankful for that. They were amazed at how quickly I understood the process. On my first day, I was trained to use JD Edwards and oh la!! the next day, I was confidently doing my job and meeting the SLA! Thank God for wisdom!! I even got a chance to talk to our BigBoss at the kitchen. She said that she's really sad that I am leaving the company because she heard all the good job that I was doing. Wow!! That was overwhelming! I have never expected to hear those words from our General Manager. Praise God for that!

Last Friday was my last day. My team leader hugged me twice before she left the office. Some of the Filo Mafia and some AP people joined me to lunch. Then before going home, everyone in the team hugged me and say their Thank you's and goodbyes. I have felt the support and the care. And what a surprise!! Salome gave me flowers! That is so sweet!! Salome looks like a Filipina and she's one of those who have warmly welcomed me during my first few weeks at the office.

Thank you so much, Salome!

Since we cannot bring this to Melbourne (sad face),
we decided to give the flowers to the Filipina attendant at the hotel.

May God bless the people that I have worked for and worked with.
